Christmas is celebrated in many countries across the world and holds great religious significance for Christians who commemorate the birth of Jesus on this day.
It is also a time for people to express gratitude and share small gifts, cards, and messages of good wishes, symbolizing love and appreciation for one another.
For many families in Seychelles, this Christmas will be a difficult time due to various reasons such as the loss of a loved one, unfortunate events, or the impact of recent events on December 7th.
I want to offer words of courage and reassurance to all affected families, and assure them of the support from the state and others to help them through this difficult time.
Christmas reminds us that the birth of Jesus took place in a humble stable, and I am reminded of the compassion and love shown in such moments of need. I want to express my appreciation to all those who have shown love and compassion to others in difficult times.
Christmas is a sign of hope for humanity, reminding us that love and light conquer darkness and evil. Let us focus on rebuilding and creating a better future filled with love, peace, joy, and wisdom.
During this Christmas celebration, let us give our hearts to God and allow Him to transform us so that we can serve others, promote unity, and spread love. May the light of hope guide us all.
May God reign in the hearts of all Seychellois. Happy Christmas to all.
