Summit on Innovating Tourism for Youth

Collaborating with UN Tourism, AfCFTA, MEFT (Namibia), Namibia Tourism Board, NIPDB, NEPAD, and BDO, the 2024 Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit is designed to foster innovative connections in the travel industry and start-up sector among all participants.

The 6th edition of the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit and Challenge in 2024 is focused on accelerating business growth. The program features an Entrepreneurship Masterclass and Intra-Africa Trading Day, catering to youth, women in tourism, businesses, start-ups, entrepreneurs, and Namibian tourism stakeholders seeking guidance on business improvement or funding opportunities in Africa.

This capacity building program aims to provide insights on connecting with angel investors, innovative start-ups, travel tech innovators, and youth-driven tourism businesses in Africa.

The Entrepreneurship Masterclass & Intra-Africa Trading Day includes a Market Access Expo, 1-on-1 Business Exchange, and Africa Tourism Innovation Challenge Boot Camp/Demo Lab.

Renowned international experts speaking at the Summit include Dino Ballotti, Waseem Carrim, Dan D’souza, Akwasi Obeng-Adjei, Joram Mwinamo, Prof. Matshediso ‘Tshidi’ Mohapeloa, Nombulelo Guliwe, and Khaya Mbanga.

This year’s Summit expects over 650 physical delegates and 2000 online participants from around the world. The Ministry of Tourism, Environment, Forestry, and Tourism Namibia will offer exhibition space for tourism stakeholders to showcase their products and services.

Namibia is a unique tourist destination, and delegates are encouraged to extend their stay to explore famous attractions such as the dunes, wildlife, culinary experiences, aqua tourism, and nightlife.
