President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with a delegation participating in the conference of Sudan’s political and civilian groups, hosted by Egypt.
Among those present at the meeting were Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, and Director of the General Intelligence Service, Major General Abbas Kamal. Also in attendance were representatives from various regional and international parties, including officials from Chad, the UAE, Qatar, South Sudan, and Germany, as well as representatives from the African Union, the Arab League, the United Nations, and several foreign Ambassadors in Cairo.
The President expressed gratitude to the participants for accepting Egypt’s invitation to attend the conference, themed “Together to Stop the War”. He emphasized Egypt’s commitment to bridging the gap between Sudanese factions, ending the war, and restoring security and stability in Sudan. President El-Sisi stressed the need for a comprehensive political solution to address the crisis in Sudan and called for unity among Sudanese parties.
Egypt is actively providing humanitarian aid to Sudan and supporting millions of Sudanese people in Egypt. President El-Sisi highlighted the importance of respecting Sudan’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity in any political process aimed at resolving the crisis. He expressed readiness to cooperate with regional and international partners to address the Sudanese crisis.
The Sudanese political and civilian groups present at the meeting praised Egypt’s efforts in supporting Sudan and bringing the parties closer to resolving the crisis. They acknowledged Egypt’s role in addressing the humanitarian situation in Sudan and providing a welcoming environment for Sudanese people in Egypt.
